SIFF Research Coordinator
Bhaskar Chandra Adhikari
Bhaskar Chandra Adhikari has over 30 years of experience in regenerative agriculture working with several grassroots organizations, including international NGOs, rural communities and women’s farmer groups in India.
In his previous role, Mr. Adhikari led Farmer Producer Organizations (FPO) under the Sustainable Agriculture and Diversified Livelihoods (SADL) program at Accion Fraterna Ecology Centre (AFEC). He also oversaw research and the implementation of projects at the M.S. Swaminathan Research Foundation (MSSRF) and Chetna Organic Farmers Association. Projects he led in Agroecological Development and Water Conservation and Development were recognized with National Awards from the Government of India. Mr. Adhikari holds a Master’s degree in Sociology from Andhra University in Visakhapatnam and a Bachelor of Laws degree from Berhampur University in Odisha.

Chayadevi
Ms. Chayadevi is an experienced administrative consultant with over 10 years of experience in human resource management in the development sector. She has an MBA degree in Human Resource Management and Post Graduate Specialization in Rural Development. She is also currently associated with the SIFF-RySS fellowship and natural farming initiative in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India.

Anup Kumar Dey
Anup Kumar Dey stands at the intersection of Sustainable Agriculture, Agri-Business Management, Sustainable Finance and Environmental Journalism, an emerging leader seeking innovative solutions to pressing environmental challenges. With 6 years of experience spanning the UN, corporate sector, academia grassroots NGOs, Anup Kumar brings a multifaceted perspective. His proven skills in Stakeholder
Engagement, Project Management, Business Development, ESG Metrics, Data Analysis, and Strategic Planning enable him to drive impact at scale. Of late, he is positioned as Senior Research Fellow (SIFF India) focusing on Marketing and Certification.
Iska Srinath Reddy
Dr. Iska Srinath Reddy is a soil scientist specializing in soil fertility and nutrient management. His research includes studying the interaction between biochar, inorganic fertilizers, and Ascophyllum nodosum granules on soil carbon fractions and potato crop health in humid subtropical regions. He has also investigated the Soil Nutrient Index (SNI) and Irrigation Water Quality Index (IWQI) along the Yamuna riverbank in Prayagraj district and Madanapalle.
Dr. Reddy’s interests focus on Integrated Nutrient Management (INM) and its role in crop diversification as an adaptation strategy to climate change. He employs intercropping and cover cropping techniques and utilizes statistical modeling and field experiments to assess cropping system multifunctionality.
Proficient in instruments like MIR, NIR, AAS, UV spectroscopy, and flame photometers, Dr. Reddy is also skilled in software tools such as ArcGIS, QGIS, SAS, IBM SPSS, STATA, Global Mapper, and Microsoft Office.
His work has resulted in over 45 publications in peer-reviewed journals, highlighting nutrient management’s critical role in sustainable agriculture.
Vishnu Priyanka Billala
Vishnu Priyanka Billala is a skilled Research Fellow specializing in marketing and certification within the agricultural sector. Holding a master’s degree in Agribusiness from SHUATS, and a bachelor’s degree in agriculture (Hons) from Lovely Professional University (LPU), Priyanka has built her expertise through roles that include project management, financial analysis, and strategic market analysis. Her work spans from conducting in-depth studies, such as her research on the marketing of mushrooms in Guntur District, Andhra Pradesh. Priyanka is committed to driving progress in the agricultural sector, leveraging her skills to support innovative solutions and foster growth. Her dedication to advancing sustainable agricultural practices, alongside her commitment to continuous learning, underscores her value in the field.
